This transport system belong to the larger ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily. The minimal configuration of bacterial ABC transport system: an ATPase or ATP binding subunit; An integral membrane protein; a hydrophilic polypetpide, which likely functions as substrate binding protein.
