Bromodomain, Brdt_like subfamily, repeat I. Human Brdt is a testis-specific member of the BET subfamily of bromodomain proteins; the first bromodomain in Brdt has been shown to be essential for male germ cell differentiation. Bromodomains are 110 amino acid long domains, that are found in many chromatin associated proteins. Bromodomains can interact specifically with acetylated lysine.
