K+-transporting ATPase, c chain This family consists of K+-transporting ATPase, c chain, KdpC. KdpC forms strong interactions with the KdpA subunit, serving to assemble and stabilize the Kdp complex. It has been suggested that KdpC could be one of the connecting links between the energy providing subunit KdpB and the K+-transporting subunit KdpA. The K+ transport system actively transports K+ ions via ATP hydrolysis. |
