Conserved Protein Domain Family
TANGO2

?
cl01315: TANGO2 Superfamily (this model, PSSM-Id:294798 is obsolete and has been replaced by 470157)
Transport and Golgi organization 2
In eukaryotes this family is predicted to play a role in protein secretion and Golgi organization. In plants this family includes Solanum habrochaites Cwp, which is involved in water permeability in the cuticles of fruit. Tango2 has been found to be expressed during early embryogenesis in mice. This protein contains a conserved NRDE motif. This gene has been characterized in Drosophila melanogaster and named as transport and Golgi organization 2, hence the name Tango2.
