Rafael,V. and Arcos,G. "Drosophila guayllabambae n. sp., a new member of the repleta group subgroup hydei (Diptera Drosophilidae)" Evolucion Biologica Bogota 2 (2): 167-176 (Aug 1988).

Drosophila guayllabambae n.sp. from Ecuador is described. This new species of Drosophila becomes the seventh member of the hydei subgroup. Genitalia analysis places it in the bifurca complex, although the nigrohydei cluster is proposed as well.
