Genome Information for Mus musculus
The Mouse ENCODE project is a two-year effort, supported with ARRA funds, to discover and use relationships between mouse and human regulatory sequences to advance the ENCODE Project in its effort to map all functional elements in the human genome. The Mouse ENCODE project seeks to study cell types, tissues, and experimental conditions that cannot be addressed in human, to yield a broader compendium of functional genomic elements. By harnessing comparative genomics analyses and techniques, the Mouse ENCODE project aims to uncover principles and solve problems that are proving difficult by studying the human genome alone.
