We are broadly interested in investigating the value of up-front nucleus extraction prior to HMW DNA extraction as a useful strategy in biodiversity genomics, e.g. as a means of eliminating contaminating mucopolysaccharides, or quantitatively splitting a sample into parts to be used for different downstream applications e.g. Hi-C library prep, BioNano ultra-HMW DNA extraction, and conventional HMW DNA extraction.
