Genome Information for Streptomyces rochei
Streptomycetes are bacteria with high biotechnological potential. They represent an interesting option to explore in the search for high-value-added products such as biologically active metabolites, enzymes with industrial application, and organisms with potential application in environmental protection, among others.
More...Streptomycetes are bacteria with high biotechnological potential. They represent an interesting option to explore in the search for high-value-added products such as biologically active metabolites, enzymes with industrial application, and organisms with potential application in environmental protection, among others. This study aims to isolate strains of marine actinomycetes and explore/characterize their potential biotechnological application. Here we present the result of genome assembly of a Streptomyces rochei strain isolated from the boring sponge Cliona varians sampled in the Colombian Caribbean Sea.
