An open access Macaca fascicularis Gut Microbial Biobank (MfGMB) were constructed by large-scale isolation and cultivation of intestinal microbes from monkeys' feces. A total of 250 isolates representing 97 different taxa from 25 families and 4 phyla were included in MfGMB and deposited in International Depository Authority (IDA)- the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) for long-term preservation and public use worldwide. The strain identities, genomic accessions and basic taxonomic information of known species were available in the webpage. Moreover, based on phylogenetic analysis, physiological characterization and genome sequencing, 32 new species including one novel family and 13 novel genera were recognized and denominated following ICNP rules. Detailed genomic, taxonomic and biological descriptions of the 32 new species were also provided in the webpage. Taxa 97: genus 63, family 25, phylum 4
