Subsequent transfers in 1998 were amended with trichloroethene and 5x electron equivalents of methanol (MeOH). Formally named KB-1/TCE-MeOH after it's lineage, electron acceptror and donor, but sometimes referred to by its in house name: T3MP1. This culture continues to be maintained batch style in anaerobic minimal medium in the Edwards Laboratory at the University of Toronto.
