Fragmentation of the Golgi during mitosis. Cells expressing a galactosyltransferase-GFP fusion to mark the Golgi were imaged over 120 minutes. The Golgi undergoes initial fragmentation into large puncta during prophase (36 min) followed by a second phase of fragmentation to give dispersed granular appearance (38 - 40 min).
