The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme, set up in 1993, is part of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and is the largest single national research programme for the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS). It funds the production of independent research information about the effectiveness, costs and broader impact of healthcare treatments and tests for those who plan, provide or receive care in the NHS. Executive summaries of research reports from Health Technology Assessment, the peer reviewed in house journal for the HTA programme are included in this collection.
