Role of Histone Deacetylase 4 on cardiac expression after exercise

(Submitter supplied) Physiological exercise leads to an activation of an distinct genetic program in the heart. During this process, we identified histone deacetlyase 4 (HDAC4) as an epigentic modifier, that regulates this adaptive process. To identify HDAC4 dependent genes that can are regulated after physiological stress, we investigated the cardiac gene expression in cardiomyocyte specific HDAC4 knockout animals and control animals after running exercise. more...

Endocytic and signalling function of stabilin-1 in tumor associated macrophages

(Submitter supplied) Stabilin-1 is a scavenger/sorting receptor expressed by sinusoidal endothelial cells, alternatively-activated and tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) in several types of human cancer and mouse tumor models. We have found abundant expression of stabilin-1 on TAM in mouse model of mammary adenocarcinoma (TS/A) We performed microarrays with TAM isolated from wild type (wt) and stabilin-1 knock out (ko) mice in order to examine if stabilin-1 affects gene expression in TAM using mouse model of TS/A mammary adenocarcinoma

Comparative analysis of different cortical interneuron groups.

(Submitter supplied) GABAergic interneuron in the cortex comprise a very heterogenous group. and it is critical to identify discrete interneuron types to understand how their contributions to behavior can be modulated by external and internal cues. However, molecular difinition of these interneuron cell groups has been difficult. Comparative analysis of different interneuron subtypes can provide us new candidate marker genes which could target more specific interneuron cell group. more...
