RNA sequencing analysis of human glioblastoma cell line U87MG treated with LMO2 overexpression.

(Submitter supplied) To understand the changes in the expression of genes in U87MG cells due to LMO2, we analyzed the transcriptome of U87MG cells overexpressing LMO2. As a result, we identify differentially expressed genes patterns so that the signaling mechanism regulated by LMO2 in GBM and changes in cells were observed. These RNA sequencing analysis results enable an understanding of the signaling mechanism by LMO2 in GBM.

Genome-wide High Resolution Mapping of Mitotic DNA Synthesis Sites and Common Fragile Sites by Direct Sequencing [RNA-seq]

(Submitter supplied) Common fragile sites (CFSs) are genomic loci prone to the formation of breaks or gaps on metaphase chromosomes. Here, we seek to map human CFSs with high resolution on a genome-wide scale by sequencing the sites of mitotic DNA synthesis (MiDASeq) that are specific for CFSs. We generated a nucleotide-resolution atlas of MiDAS sites (MDSs) that covered most of know CFSs, and comprehensively analyzed their sequence characteristics and genomic features.

Transcriptome analysis of ABCB7 overexpressed U87MG glioblastoma cells

(Submitter supplied) This study investigated the biological function of ABCB7 in U87MG glioblastoma cell line. Many ABC transporters are known contributions to drug resistance and various biological process. However, mitochondrial ABC transporters aren’t known mechanism to control biological process. We identified the potential roles of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter subfamily member 7 (ABCB7), one of the mitochondrial ABC transporters. more...

Transcriptome analysis of TP53-R248L overexpressed 19NS patient-derived glioblastoma cells

(Submitter supplied) This study demonstrates the role of TP53 gain-of-function (GOF) mutation on glioblastoma progression. However, little is known about the transcriptional alteration upon TP53 GOF mutation. In this study, we found that TP53 GOF mutation (R248L mutation) promotes the enrichment of multiple gene signatures related to inflammation and chemotaxis. Particularly, through in vitro and in vivo approaches, we verified that TP53 GOF mutation enhances NFKB signaling which in turn up-regulates CCL2 and TNFA. more...

Transcriptome analysis of CD133 overexpressed U87MG glioblastoma cells

(Submitter supplied) This study investigated the biological function of CD133 by ectopic expression of CD133 in U87MG cell line. Although CD133 is widely used as a cancer stem cell marker, there are a few studies that examined its own biological functions. While a number of loss-of-function studies about CD133 have shown that CD133 have effects on cancer progression, there are few gain-of-function studies about functions of CD133. more...

FOXK2 ChIP sequencing in non-treated MCF-7 cells

(Submitter supplied) Although clinically associated with severe intellectual disability, West syndrome, Dandy-Walker malformation, and syndactyly, the biological function of FOXK2 remains poorly explored. Here we report that FOXK2 acts as a transcription repressor. Strikingly, FOXK2 interacts with multiple transcription corepressor complexes including NCoR/SMRT, SIN3A, NuRD, and REST/CoREST. FOXK2 assembles these transcription programs to repress a cohort of genes including HIF1 and EZH2 and to regulate several signaling pathways including the hypoxic response that is critically implicated in tumor development and progression. more...
