Transcriptome analysis between wild-type and DM1-affected fibroblast.

(Submitter supplied) Human skin fibroblast cell lines from 3 normal individuals and 3 individuals with DM1 in one pedigree were obtained from the biobank of Shanghai East Hospital. Human skin fibroblast cells were grown in DMEM (Life Technologies), NaPyr, GlutaMAX, β-mercaptoethanol and 10% foetal bovine serum (FBS) supplemented medium as previously described (Richner et al. 2015). Cells were collected after 80% confluency with TRIzol reagent and stored at -80℃ for RNA-seq and RT-PCR.

RNA-seq analysis of the chromosome-associated RNAs

(Submitter supplied) The goals of this study are to discover the RNAs associated with the condensed chromosomes during mitosis. RNA from the soluble and pellet fraction of the lysed mitotic HCT116 cells were extracted, RNA profiles of soluble and pellet RNA were generated by deep sequencing, using MGISEQ2000. The sequence reads that passed quality filters were analyzed by STAR (v2.7.8a). Using an optimized data analysis workflow, we found that the pre-rRNAs were significantly enriched in the pellet fraction of the mitotic HCT116 cells.

The cardiac glycoside deslanoside imposes an anticancer effect on prostate cancer involving multiple signaling pathways

(Submitter supplied) Prostate cancer (PCa) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths among men worldwide, and advanced prostate cancers are mostly incurable. It is urgently needed to find new therapeutic options. Deslanoside is a cardiac glycoside, the efficacy of which on cancers has never been reported. In this study, we investigated the effects of deslanoside on advanced PCa for the first time.
