Protocadherin 12 deficiency effect on the placenta

Analysis of embryonic day 12.5 placentas from animals lacking protocadherin 12 (Pcdh12). Pcdh12 is a transmembrane adhesive protein with homophilic adhesive properties. Pcdh12 deficient placentas exhibit a reduction in size. Results provide insight into the function of Pcdh12.
