Co-activator function of RIP140 for NFκB/p65-dependent cytokine gene

(Submitter supplied) High- and low-grade inflammatory responses represent a hallmark of numerous pathologies such as sepsis and bacterial infection or insulin resistance and obesity, respectively. Here we describe an unexpected co-activator function of receptor interacting protein (RIP) 140 for nuclear factor (NF) kB, a master transcriptional regulator of inflammation in multiple tissues. Genetic as well as acute deficiency of RIP140, which has been characterized as a co-repressor of various nuclear receptors on metabolic target genes, led to the inhibition of the proinflammatory program in macrophages, mediated by RIP140’s direct impact on cytokine gene promoter activity. more...

Affymetrix GeneChip Mouse Genome 430 2.0 Array [CDF: Mm_UNIGENEG_8]

(Submitter supplied) CDF file was created by Microarray Lab at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute at the University of Michigan. For the CDF file based on Unigene: A probe must hit only one genomic location; Probes that can be mapped to the same target sequence in the correct direction are grouped together in the same probe set; Each probe set must contain at least three oligonucleotide probes and probes in a set are ordered according to their location in the corresponding exon. more...
