Microarray profiling of expression patterns of fibroblasts from different skin types

(Submitter supplied) Adult human fibroblasts derived from the dermis of 4 mm punch biopsies taken from the lower backs of 15 healthy subjects of 3 different phototypes (types I, III and VI). This study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of Hamburg. (Submitter supplied) Microarrays are printed with GeneMachines robotic arrayer from Genomic Solutions (http://www.genomicsolutions.com) that is fitted with a printhead containing 48 SMP2.5 printing pins from Telechem International (http://www.arrayit.com). The human long oligonuleotide probe set contains 34,960 optimized 70mers (plus controls) obtained from Operon (http://www.operon.com/). The long oligonucleotide probes were purchased in 384-well polypropylene plates (Genetix, 384 microarray) and dissolved print buffer of sodium phosphate (150mM) at ph 8.5 and 4% sodium sulphate at a concentration of 20-30 uM. more...
