Correlating global gene regulation to morphogenesis and maturation in the chick extra-embryonic vascular system

(Submitter supplied) Formation of blood vessels requires the concerted regulation of an unknown number of genes in a spatial-, time- and dosage-dependent manner. We investigated vascular development in vivo by determining global gene regulation throughout the formation of the chick chorio-allantoic membrane (CAM). Our study provides a comprehensive molecular map of vascular maturation during developmental angiogenesis and might thus be a valuable resource to streamline further research of candidates susceptible to mediate pathological angiogenesis.

Gene signatures in wound tissue as evidenced by molecular profiling in the chicken embryo model

Endothelial cell-enriched genes expression in mouse embryo

(Submitter supplied) The early blood vessels of the embryo and yolk sac in mammals develop by aggregation of de novo forming angioblasts into a primitive vascular plexus, which then undergoes a complex remodeling process. Angiogenesis is also important for disease progression in the adult. However, the precise molecular mechanism of vascular development remains unclear. It is therefore of great interest to determine which genes are specifically expressed in developing endothelial cells.Here, we utilized Flk1-deficient mouse embryos, which lack endothelial cells, to perform a genome-wide survey for genes related to vascular development.

Transcriptome of the chicken chorioallantoic membrane from male and female embryos, after 11 and 15 days of incubation

(Submitter supplied) The aim the the sequencing project was to investigate differentially expressed genes between fertilized eggs incubated during 11 or 15 days of incubation (EID11 and EID15). At each stage (EID11 and EID15), chorioallantoic membranes from 10 male embryos and 10 females embryos were collected and processed for RNA extraction and RNAseq analysis (n=40 in total). Thus, the design of the protocol also allowed comparison of differentially expressed genes in the chorioallantoic membrane between male and female embryos
