Expression data from lung of mice bearing mutations of FGFR3 and FGFR4

(Submitter supplied) Gene expression profiling of newborn lung tissue revealed few changes in compound FGFR3/FGFR4 deficient mice, consistent with their normal lung morphology at birth, suggesting the sequence of events leading to the phenotype initiates after birth in this model. Profiling of 4 week-old lung tissues revealed an induction of genes related to elastic fiber assembly in compound mutants.

expression data in lung of mice bearing inducible FGF18 transgene

(Submitter supplied) Better understanding alveolarization mechanisms could help improving prevention and treatment of diseases characterized by reduced alveolar number, especially bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). Although signaling through fibroblast growth factor (FGF) receptors is essential for alveolarization, involved ligands are unidentified. FGF18 whose expression peaks during alveolar septation is likely to be involved. more...

Gene Expression and Biological Processes Influenced By Deletion of Stat3 in pulmonary Alveolar Type II Cells

(Submitter supplied) Deletion of Stat3 induced genes influencing protein metabolism, transport, chemotaxis and apoptosis and decreased the expression of genes mediating lipid synthesis and metabolism. Srebf1 and 2, key regulators of fatty acid and steroid biosynthesis, were decreased in Stat3D/D mice. Stat3 influenced both pro- and anti-apoptotic pathways, regulating and maintaining the balance between a subset of pro- and anti-apoptotic genes that determine cell death or survival. more...

Stat3 deficiency effect on pulmonary alveolar type II epithelial cells

Analysis of type II alveolar cells lacking signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (Stat3). STAT3 mediates gene expression in response to numerous growth factors and cytokines, playing an important role in many cellular processes. Results provide insight into the role of Stat3 in lung.

miRNA expression data in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

(Submitter supplied) Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is an untreatable fibrotic lung disease characterized by fibroblast proliferation and epithelial mesenchymal transition. The expression and role of microRNAs (miRNA) has not been studied in IPF. Using miRNA expression microarrays we identified 46 differentially expressed miRNA in IPF lungs which included let-7d and the miR-30 family. Keywords: miRNA expression

Gene expression profiling of peripheral blood and alveolar recruited mononuclear phagocytes in Pam3CSK4 treated mice

(Submitter supplied) Aim of this project was to examine the global gene expression profiles of mononuclear phagocytes recruited from peripheral blood to the alveolar space following alveolar deposition of the TLR2-ligand Pam3CSK4 in transgenic CX3CR1+/GFP mice.

Transciptomic profiling of human fetal lung samples

(Submitter supplied) Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) signaling plays an important role in lung organogenesis. Over recent decades, FGF signaling in lung development has been extensively studied in animal models. However, little is known about the expression, localization and functional roles of FGF ligands during human fetal lung development. Therefore, we aimed to determine the expression and function of several FGF ligands and receptors in human lung development. more...

Expression data from TKI258 treated 4T1 tumors

(Submitter supplied) 4T1 mouse mammary carcinoma cells have an autocrine FGFR active loop leading to constitutive activation of downstream signaling pathways. We found that FGFR inhibitors have a strong effect on 4T1 tumors in-vivo. We used microarray to understand the contribution of FGFR signaling to the tumor formation upon TKI258 treatment.
