MicroRNA profiling in dorsal root ganglion after sciatic nerve injury

(Submitter supplied) Changes in microRNA (miRNA) expression in the mouse L4 and L5 dorsal root ganglion following unilateral sciatic nerve transection. The timepoint of 7 days post-axotomy was chosen to capture miRNA expression profiles at a time when the injured neurons were beginning to regenerate.
Organism:
Mus musculus
Type:
Non-coding RNA profiling by array
Platform:
GPL13498

Multiple chronic pain states are associated with a common amino acid-changing allele in KCNS1

(Submitter supplied) Not all patients with nerve injury develop neuropathic pain. The extent of nerve damage and age at the time of injury are two of the few risk factors identified to date. In addition, preclinical studies show that neuropathic pain variance is heritable. To define such factors further, we performed a large-scale gene profiling experiment which plotted global expression changes in the rat dorsal root ganglion in three peripheral neuropathic pain models. more...

Dorsal root ganglion in three peripheral neuropathic pain models: time course

Analysis of L4 and L5 dorsal root ganglion (DRGs) up to 40 days post-injury in three distinct peripheral neuropathic pain models: spared nerve injury (SNI), chronic constriction injury (CCI), and spinal nerve ligation injury (SNL). Results provide insight into putative pain modulating genes.

Analysis of gene expression during neurite outgrowth and regeneration (MG-U74B)

(Submitter supplied) We have undertaken a genome-wide study of transcriptional activity in embryonic superior cervical ganglia (SCG) and dorsal root ganglia (DRG) during a time course of neurite outgrowth in vitro. Gene expression observed in these models likely includes both developmental gene expression patterns and regenerative responses to axotomy, which occurs as the result of tissue dissection. Comparison across both models revealed many genes with similar gene expression patterns during neurite outgrowth. more...
