Role of Adipocyte Na,K-ATPase Oxidant Amplification Loop in Cognitive Decline and Neurodegeneration - Expression profiling in Brain

(Submitter supplied) Adipocyte-specific expression of Na,K-ATPase signaling antagonist, NaKtide, has been shown to ameliorate the pathophysiological consequences of obesity and improve diseased phenotype. Recent studies have established that the release of adipocytokines and other bioactive mediators in obesity contributes to neurodegeneration. This study utilizes a mechanistic approach and characterizes the hippocampal transcriptome in comparison with transcriptomic changes in liver, visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue. more...

Expression profiling by RNA-Seq of 3T3 mouse pre-adipocyte cells after treatment with Indoxyl Sulphate or Oxidative LDL, with or without pNaKtide

(Submitter supplied) We performed expression profiling by RNA-Seq on 3T3 mouse pre-adipocyte cells. Cells were divided into six groups of five replicates each and were treated with either control (DMSO), Indoxyl Sulphate, or Oxidative LDL, either with or without pNaKtide (NaK).

Expression profiling by RNA-Seq of adipose tissue in mice after partial nephrectomy and administration of pNaKtide

(Submitter supplied) We performed expression profiling by RNA-Seq on C57BL6 mice at 10 weeks of age. Mice were divided into four groups and either underwent partial nephrectomy (PNx) or sham (CTR) operation, and were adminstered either pNaKtide (NaK) or GFP.
