Analysis of circulating CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells from adult patients with severe or nonsevere asthma. CD4+ T cells contribute to the development and maintenance of an inflammatory response in asthmatic patients. Results provide insight into the role of CD8+ T cells in severe asthma.
