The circular dichroism analyzed urea induced unfolding processes. Multiple sequence alignment and an automated protein modeling were used to describe the three-dimensional structural model of the Hspb7 monomer and dimer.

The cvHsp mainly consisted of beta-sheets and randomly coiled secondary structural elements, and in addition possessed variable tertiary structures and several solvent-exposed hydrophobic patches on its molecular surface.
