    Summary
Enables inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate-sensitive calcium-release channel activity and phosphatidylinositol binding activity. Involved in calcium ion transport into cytosol. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including long-term synaptic potentiation; memory; and sensory perception of taste. Located in endoplasmic reticulum membrane; nucleolus; and nucleoplasm. Is expressed in several structures, including jaw; liver; sensory organ; skeleton; and spleen. Used to study autism spectrum disorder. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in type 1 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human ITPR3 (inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor type 3). [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Apr 2022]
    Expression
Broad expression in stomach adult (RPKM 33.0), spleen adult (RPKM 27.9) and 17 other tissues See more

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
