Study analyzed TASK-1 and TASK-3 expression in ipsilateral and contralateral dorsal root ganglia and dorsal and ventral spinal cord of naive and formalin-treated or nerve injured rats. Pharmacological and molecular data suggest that TASK-1 and TASK-3 reduce the nociceptive transmission in acute/chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain suggesting antinociceptive role of these channels in inflammatory and neuropathic pain.
