    Our novel scientific data provide further indication that histamine, in particular via the H4R, plays a potent role in the pathophysiology of allergic diseases through tight control of Th1-Th2 mediator production favoring Th2 lymphocyte accumulation in inflamed tissues. Our results add to a growing evidence of data suggesting that the H4R may serve as a therapeutic target in allergic diseases.
