Title |
Integrated Transcriptomic and Proteomic Dynamics of Rituximab Treatment in Primary B Cells |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
The investigation aims to profile the molecular dynamics of Rituximab treatment in cells. Specifically, primary B cells were treated with Rituximab, and sampled across 6 time points. Treated and untreated cells were processed to extract RNA and protein, that were subsequently used in high-throughput analysis of the transcriptome (RNA-Sequencing) and proteome (mass spectrometry).

Overall design |
Examination of gene expression dynamics in two sets of: (i) treated Primary B cells and (ii) a parallel untreated control primary B cells. Both sets were sampled at 6 timepoints - (0, 1, 2, 4, 7, and 15 hours, with respect to the start of the experiment). The treated cells, (i), were treated with Rituximab at timepoint 1 (0 hours). Validation was performed using a new repeated experiment over the same time points, including again both treatment and control sets of primary B cells.
