Title Allele-specific genome editing using the CRISPR/Cas9 system phenocopies alopecia areata symptomatic patched hair loss in mice
Organism Mus musculus
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary Using CRISPR/Cas9 for allele-specific genome editing we phenocopied AA symptomatic patched hair loss in mice engineered to carry the Cchcr1 risk allele.

Overall design Fluorescent cRNA synthesis derived from eight skin RNAs was performed using Agilent’s Low RNA Input Linear Amplification kit (Agilent Technology) and subjected to DNA microarray analysis using single-color microarray-based gene-expression analysis (SurePrint G3 Mouse GE Ver 2.0, 8 x 60K, Agilent Technology). All procedures were performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
