Title |
RNA-sequencing of NNK-exposed Gprc5a-/- lung tumors |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We have previously found that tobacco carcinogen exposed Gprc5a-/- develop lung tumors including adenocarcinoma. We sought to understand the molecular pathology of these lung tumors by whole-transcriptome sequence (RNA-Seq) analysis.

Overall design |
Gprc5a-/- mice were intraperitoneally administered 50 mg/kg body weight nicotine-derived nitrosamine ketone (NNK) three times per week for 8 weeks. Mice were followed up and different groups of mice were euthanised at four to seven months following NNK. Six lung tumors that developed from lungs of five Gprc5a-/- mice at four to seven months post-NNK along with their respective five paired normal lung tissues (n=11 samples total) were sequenced.
