Title |
A transcriptomic analysis reveals increased complexity of the alternative splicing landscape by Nsmce1 overexpression in mouse hippocampal neuronal cell |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Nsmce1 (NSE1 Homolog, SMC5-SMC6 Complex Component) is a Protein Coding gene, it was reported to function not only in positive regulation of response to DNA damage stimulus but also in the neurological diseases and disorders.

Overall design |
As a result, the expression of App, Mapt and Gsap could be inhibited by Nsmce1 overexpression and activated by the knockdown of Nsmce1. RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was then used to evaluate and quantify the transcriptomes in response to the overexpression of Nsmce1 in mouse hippocampal neuronal HT-22 cells. Inducible Nsmce1 in HT-22 cells were the treated samples and uninduced cells were used as controls. Experiments were performed in duplicate. Gene expression profiling analyses by high throughput sequencing were performed on mRNA samples isolated from the sense Nsmce1 in HT-22 cells (Nsmce1/+) and the wildtype cells.
