Title |
A transcriptomic study of selenium against liver injury by RNA-seq |
Organism |
Mus musculus |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Evidence from biochemical indicators suggested that selenium could effectively repair the liver injury caused by beta-cypermethrin (β-CYP). However, the molecular mechanisms of selenium against liver injury induced by β-CYP remains unclear. In the present study, dynamic changes in gene expression profiles before and after the treatment of Na2SeO3 in liver injury mice were analyzed by using RNA sequencing. As a result, several essential genes and pathways were identified to be significantly associated with this process.

Overall design |
The liver samples of mice are extracted from 3 groups, including the control group, the liver injury group with the treatment of 40mg/kg β-CYP, and the repair group with the treatment of 40mg/kg β-CYP and 50μg/kg Na2SeO3. RNA sequencing was performed by using the platform of Illumina HiSeq 3000. All experiments were performed in triplicates.
