Title Longitudinal profiling of the human immune response to Plasmodium falciparum
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary The diversity of human immune responses to P. falciparum is unknown and yet immune decision-making likely dictates outcome of infection
We infected 15 malaria-naïve human volunteers with P. falciparum and used longitudinal whole blood transcriptional profiling to independently analyse the immune response in every volunteer

Overall design Timecourse analysis of the whole blood transcriptome in 15 malaria-infected human volunteers and 4 uninfected controls (120 samples in total, median = 6 samples per volunteer)
