Title Analysis of gene expression in lung adenocarcinoma cells following over-expression of miR-30a-5p or miR-30a-3p
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary RNA-sequencing was performed to gain insight into the transcriptome-wide molecular changes induced by miR-30a-5p or miR-30a-3p over-expression in lung adenocarcinoma cells. Following transfection of miR-30a-5p or miR-30a-3p miRNA mimic or control RNA, RNA-sequencing was performed. This high-throughput data revealed elevated expression of both miR-30a-5p and miR-30a-3p reduced the expression of genes and pathways known to induce proliferation and movement in lung adenocarcinoma cells.

Overall design miR-30a-5p or miR-30a-3p was transfected in lung adenocarcinoma cells and gene expression profiles were generated using RNA-sequencing.
