Title |
Next generation sequencing facilities quantitative analysis of ASAP2 knockout or wild-type Panc1 and MiaPaCa2 cells |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
To assess potential gene expression changes by ASAP2 individual knockout in Panc1 and MiaPaCa2 cells, we performed a transcriptomic analysis using high throughput RNA sequencing (RNA-seq).

Overall design |
Total RNA extracted from ASAP2 knockout or wild-type Panc1 and MiaPaCa2 cells was subjected to RNA-seq analysis. The sequencing libraries generated from the RNA were analyzed by BGISEQ-500. The sequencing reads were trimmed for adaptor sequence, and low-complexity or low-quality reads were removed. Subsequently, the reads were aligned to the human reference sequence and the gene annotations (UCSC hg19) using Tophat2 v2.0.14. STAR v2.5.2a was used to calculate fragments per kilobase of transcript per million fragments mapped (FPKM) values.
