Title |
Immunological properties of retinal ganglion cells derived from human induced pluripotent cells |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
In recent years, research has been conducted to develop retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) transplantation therapies. Although rejection is one of the problems with transplantation therapy, the immunological properties of RGCs have not been clarified. We successfully induced RGCs from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). We examined the gene expression patterns of iPS-RGCs using iPSC (a same donor) and peripheral mononuclear blood cells (PBMCs: a same donor) as a control.

Overall design |
We induced RGCs from human iPSCs according to the previously described method with some modifications. We extracted RNA from iPS-RGCs (n=1), iPSCs (n=1), and PBMCs (n=1).
