Title The study of the effects of dauricine(dau) on human pancreatic carcinoma cells [mRNA array]
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary Pancreatic cancer is one of the most malignant digestive tract tumors with the worst prognosis. Few treatments are available; thus, the discovery of potential new anti-cancer agents has always been a hot issue. Dauricine (Dau) can inhibit the proliferation of the pancreatic cancer cell line BxPC3, and has the potential to be used as an adjuvant drug against pancreatic cancer; however, how Dau inhibits tumor cell proliferation has not been elucidated. To unravel the effects of Dau on proteins and metabolic pathways of pancreatic cancer cells, and to elucidate its anticancer mechanisms, we evaluated mRNA and microRNA expression in BxPC3 cells treated with Dau.

Overall design The samples included 3 groups of untreated BxPC3 cells and 3 groups of BxPC3 cells treated with 24 μmol Dau for 72h. Extract total RNA,then sequece mRNA.
