Title Comprehensive DNA methylation analysis of human neuroblastoma cells treated with haloperidol and risperidone
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Methylation profiling by array
Summary This work reveals the effect of antipsychotics on DNA methylation using the cell model. After the treatment of antipsychotics, haloperidol and risperidone, DNA methylation profiles obtained by Illumina HumanMethylation450 beadchip were examined.

Overall design We conducted a comprehensive DNA methylation analysis of human neuroblastoma cells (SK-N-SH) cultured with antipsychotics. The cells were cultured with low and high concentrations of haloperidol or risperidone based on their effective blood concentrations for 8 days. DNA methylation assay was performed with the Illumina HumanMethylation450 BeadChip. Three independent samples were prepared for each experimental group (n=18 in total).
