Retinas from each animal were pooled and stored in Trizol. Five mice at postnatal 30 days were used in each group. At the time of extraction, the retinas were homogenized and total RNA was isolated using a PureLinkTM RNA Mini Kit (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) following the manufacturer's instructions.
