Treatment protocol |
An age-matched cohort of mice received no ionizing radiation while additional cohorts received 5 Gy in a single dose or 17.5 Gy in a single dose.

Growth protocol |
At 2, 4, 8, 16, and 30 weeks post-ionizing radiation samples of lung were collected in 3 mice at each radiation dose (including 0 Gy).

Trizol extraction of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions followed by cleaning on a Qiagen RNAeasy column.
