Mice were sensitized by i.p. injection of 10 µg OVA in 2 mg alum in 200 µg PBS. Mice were subsequently challenged three time by inhalative exposure to OVA aerosol (1% in PBS) for 30 min for weeks after i.p. injection as described in Alessandrini et al, 2006, J Allergy Clin Immunol.

RNA was extracted with Trizol reagent, followed by clean-up with QIAGEN RNeasy midi kit in accordance with the prescribed protocol provided with the kit. Quality control was performed with gel electrophoreses.
