Hybridization protocol Hybridization and washing were performed according to the Illumina Manual “Direct Hybridization Assay Guide”
Scan protocol Scanning was performed on the Illumina iScan (Illumina, Inc., San Diego, CA, U.S.A.).

Data processing Image analysis and extraction of raw expression data was performed with Illumina GenomeStudio v2011.1 Gene Expression software with default settings (no background substraction and no normalization)
