Mice were fed PTU diet for 3 weeks, followed by adenoviral injections through the tail vein. Mice were then injected intraperitoneally with saline or T3 for 4 days and then euthanized and tissues were collected.

9- to 10-week-old heterozygous BirA-expressing mice were housed in individual cages, fed a PTU diet, administered either Ad-GFP or Ad-TRb virus and then treated with either saline or T3.
