Treatment protocol Mice were euthanised and whole liver from each experimental grouping were stored in Trizol reagent at -80C for RNA extraction.
Growth protocol The complete life cycle of schistosoma japonicum was maintained in our laboratory. The cercarial of S. japonicum were shed from Oncomelania hupensis snail to infect the experimental mice.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Total RNA of liver tissues were extracted by a combination use of Trizol (Invitrogen) and RNeasy Mini kit (Qiagen) method.
Label Cy3
Label protocol cRNA was synthesised from total RNA using Illumina Total Prep RNA Amplication kit (Ambion).
 
Hybridization protocol Synthesized cRNA was hybridised to Illumina mouse Ref-8 v2 expression beadchips according to manufacturer instructions.
Scan protocol Images on the arrays were scanned using Beadstation 500 at green factor level 2.

Data processing Feature extraction of the data was generated using GenomeStudio version 1.1.1 and analysed further using GeneSpring GX 11.
