Sample GSM1862917 Query DataSets for GSM1862917
Status Public on Jun 29, 2016
Title Baseline_rep5
Sample type RNA

Source name Muscle biopsy before intervention derived from subject 5
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics insulin sensitivity: non-responder
tissue: muscle
Sex: male
age: 40
Treatment protocol As described in the paper. Briefly, before and after the training period, all participants underwent lactate diagnostics and maximal bicycle spiroergometry to determine the individual anaerobic threshold (IAT) and maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max). The training program lasted 8 weeks and consisted of three supervised exercise sessions per week. Each training session consisted of 30 min each bicycle ergometer exercise and 30 min treadmill exercise. The training intensity was individually set at 80% of VO2max, based on the performance test and controlled by heart rate.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol miRNeasy Mini kit (Qiagen) including DNase digestion
Label biotin
Label protocol Ovation Pico WTA System V2 and Encore Biotin Module (Nugen)

Hybridization protocol According to the Affymetrix expression protocol (HWS kit) including minor changes as suggested by the Encore Biotin protocol
Scan protocol According to the Affymetrix expression protocol (GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G)
Description Gene expression data from muscle biopsy before intervention derived from subject 5
Data processing RMA probeset summary with standard settings of the Affymetrix Expression Console software (build 1.4.0.38) including median polish and Sketch-Quantile normalisation
