Sample GSM241743 Query DataSets for GSM241743
Status Public on Dec 12, 2007
Title SOCS3 Cre plus C
Sample type RNA

Source name liver
Organism Mus musculus
Characteristics All mice (C57BL/6) were free of Helicobacter species, housed in a specific pathogen free facility with 12-h light/dark cycles with free access to standard food and water.
Biomaterial provider University of Washington
Treatment protocol Hepatocyte-specific excision of the Socs3 gene was achieved by breeding Socs3 fl/fl mice with mice expressing the Cre recombinase transgene under control of the albumin promoter (Alb-Cre+), yielding Socs3 h-KO mice (SOCS3 Cre plus). Socs3 fl/fl, Alb-Cre- littermates were used as controls for all experiments, and are referred to as SOCS3 Cre minus. All mice (C57BL/6) were free of Helicobacter species, housed in a specific pathogen free facility with 12-h light/dark cycles with free access to standard food and water. 2/3 partial hepatectomies (PH) were performed as previously described.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Total RNA was isolated from whole liver tissue harvested 18h after PH, as described in Supplemental materials and methods.
Label biotin
Label protocol Total RNA (2 ug) was labeled and hybridized to the Mouse Genome 430 2.0 arrays and hybridized according to manufacurer’s instructions.

Hybridization protocol The standard hybridization protocol was used as recommended by Affymterix.
Scan protocol GeneChips were scanned using the Affymetrix GeneArray Scanner 3000.
Description All mice (C57BL/6) were free of Helicobacter species, housed in a specific pathogen free facility with 12-h light/dark cycles with free access to standard food and water.
