Treatment protocol |
Epithelial-enriched fraction of reduction mammoplasty samples were made into single cell suspensions and co-cultured with irradiated mouse fibroblasts for 3 days.

Primary cells extracted from reduction mammoplasty samples were cultured in EpiCult-B medium (StemCell Technologies) with 5% fetal Calf Serum supplementation.

Highly purified subpopulations of primitive bipotent and committed luminal progenitor cells as well as mature luminal and myoepithelial cells from normal human mammary tissue were isolated and compared their transcriptomes obtained using PCR-LONG-SAGE protocol (Zhao, et al, Stem Cells, 2007)
