Endothelial cells were derived from isolated bovine renal glomeruli. Cells were cloned and shown to uniformly label with acetylated LDL and anti-vWF antibody. Cells were cultured on gelatin-coated cell culture plastic in RPMI 1640 medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum. mRNA was isolated from passage 9 cells, at confluence 48 hours after the last medium change.
