Gi tract was removed and the distal segment of the stomach locaoized. This region was excised along with 1-2 mm of tissue before and behind the pyloric stricture.

Heterozygous (Bapx1 CRE/+) animals were bred and embryos collected at E18.5 days. Genotyping was obtained from yolk sac DNA and segregated embryos into KO, WT,Het.
