Growth protocol |
We enrolled three patients (74-, and 83- and 58-year-old women) with human sebaceous gland carcinoma of the eyelid and one patient (92-year-old man) with human sebaceouos adenoma of the eyelid. Four patients underwent surgical excision of the tumor.

RNA was extracted from cells using a NucleoSpin® miRNA isolation kit (MACHEREY-NAGEL GmbH) along with on-column DNase I treatment. RNA quality was analyzed using a Bioanalyzer 2100 (Agilent Technologies). RNA samples with RIN (RNA integrity number) values

500 ng of total RNA was used to synthesize cRNA with a GeneChip WT PLUS Reagent Kit (Affymetrix).

Hybridization protocol |
After fragmentation, the biotinylated cRNA was hybridized to arrays at 45°C for 16 h. The arrays were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.

Scan protocol |
The arrays were scanned by the Affymetrix Gene ChIP Scanner 3000 7G
